About Painted Puppy
Painted Puppy was an “Urban Music Boutique”, a DJ oriented music store, record shop, record label, and event production company based in Tampa, Florida from the mid-1990s to mid-2000s. We produced big parties and raves in Tampa’s Ybor City during the peak of the underground dance music scene. Painted Puppy was an iconic part of the underground dance culture. Funky breakbeats and electro bass music were significant signature sounds of central Florida during those years.
JaySunKay was a co-creator, owner, and producer of Painted Puppy and Painted Puppy Productions from 1996-2000. He co-produced Flavored Beats, a globally distributed series of funky breaks mixes by legendary DJ/Producer Rick West.
Painted Puppy is retired. JaySunKay keeps the memories alive on Twitch every Tuesday at 10AM ET / 7AM PT.
